چکیده

Atrioventricular conduction was studied in three patients, each representing a different grade of bilateral bundle-branch block. His bundle activity was recorded by a catheter technic. Two of the three patients had experienced Adams-Stokes attacks. The first patient had right bundle-branch block with left axis deviation at the time of catheterization. Increases in the atrial driving rate resulted in progressive lengthening of the A-H interval, the H-V interval remaining constant and within normal limits. Second degree A-V block occurred at atrial rates higher than 140/min. The site of this block was located above the His bundle. On no occasion was the impulse blocked distally to the His bundle. The second patient had a Mobitz type II A-V block with complete left bundlebranch block and a prolonged P-R interval in the conducted beats. The block of the nonconducted beats could be located distal to the His bundle. H-V block occurred

Atrioventricular conduction in patients with clinical indications for transvenous cardiac pacing.

Eighty patients with clinical indications for cardiac pacing had atrioventricular conduction analysed by His bundle study. The indications for cardiac pacing included high grade atrioventricular block, sick sinus node syndrome without tachycardia, bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome, unstable bilateral bundle-branch block, and uncontrolled ventricular irritability. Complete heart block, Wenckeback...

His Bundle electrogram in bundle-branch block.

SUMMARY Because a great majority of patients with chronic complete heart block have bilateral bundle-branch lesions, it becomes important to recognize earlier degrees of bilateral bundle-branch block. The H-V interval in the His bundle electrogram during unilateral bundle-branch block reflects the conduction primarily through the contralateral bundle branch, and thus the His bundle electrogram ...

Long-term prognosis after acute anterior infarction with atrioventricular block.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the need for permanent pacing in patients who have survived the effects of anterior myocardial infarction with complete heart block and have returned to sinus rhythm but who are left with impairment of intraventricular conduction. We have reviewed 52 patients with complete heart block complicating recent anterior myocardial infarction. Temporary pacing ...

Studies of heart block with His bundle electrograms.

A total of 24 patients with heart block revealed by scalar electrocardiography was studied using the His bundle electrogram. Four groups of disturbed conduction are described which include various types of heart block, partial and complete, at different sites, single and multiple, in the specialized conducting system. These are (i) intra-atrial block with delayed or blocked internodal conductio...
